For the first time ever, I'm taking part in the A-Z Challenge and NaPoWriMo, where I'll have to write a poem a day for the whole of April (26 in total for A-Z). I'm combining both challenges. This is my re-worked entry for Day 23 letter "W" (Day 26 NaPoWriMo).
A flower’s sadness in winter is greater than the shame of a
man whose duplicity has come to light after being unfaithful to the woman once
believing in the voice of his love.
Standing before a mirror of kindness, such a man should
hide behind his selfish reflection of deceit and dishonesty.
A woman's angelic smile and tender beauty should always be
respected and honored by every male gazing upon her feminine image.
A woman is a representation of every flower that decorates
the garden and heart of the earth together with the heart of man.
A man’s spirit is fulfilled through the fragrance of a
woman and satisfied through the heartbeat of her sensuous touch.
How can any man betray the heart of the woman bearing the
same emotions as his mother, sister(s) and daughter(s)?
He should remember that every newborn son comes into
existence because of a woman's agonizing, labor pains and then earns the
reputation of "man" by revering her sacredness.
A woman will always remain life's most prestigious flower to
the man who adores and cherishes her precious heart.

"A flower'sadness in winter is greater than the sadness of a man whose deceit has come to light, after violating the sacred flesh of the woman who once believed in the voice of his love." POWERFUL...I feel that this poem is a tribute to woman. The respect a man shows for a woman as well as the understanding of the pain she has gone through to give birt. This is a keeper.
ReplyDeleteThere are three things men can do with women: love them, suffer for them, or turn them into Poetry.(Your poetic words indicate you do all 3 so well)
ReplyDelete"The smile of a woman, whose innocence is of a tender beauty, should always be respected and honored by every male that gazes upon her image of femininity."

Oh Andy, you're a good man. I know many women who would appreciate these sentiments. I have to give a nod, though, to the men who have dealt with women who should have been faithful to the men who loved them.
